Kuwait City has seen new meditation classes launch this month with the first sessions scheduled for July 15 at multiple venues.
The increase in options reflects growing demand among office workers and families who face long commutes and summer heat that limits outdoor time. Many now seek short daily practices to maintain focus during the work week.
Group Sessions Across Neighbourhoods
The Salmiya Mindfulness Center on Salem Al Mubarak Street runs Tuesday evening groups at 7pm that last 45 minutes and include breathing exercises followed by seated meditation. The Kuwaiti Wellness Collective in Hawally holds Friday morning sessions at 9am inside a community hall near the intersection of Tunis Street and Beirut Street, with places limited to 20 participants per class.
These programs charge between 8 and 12 Kuwaiti dinars per session. A 2025 survey by the Kuwait Ministry of Health found that 42 percent of adults in the capital reported higher stress levels compared with the previous year, prompting several employers to subsidise staff attendance at such classes.
Apps and Digital Groups
Users can also join the Mindful Kuwait app, which launched local Arabic-language tracks in March 2026 and offers 10-minute guided sessions recorded by instructors familiar with daily routines in the city. The app pairs with a weekly online group chat hosted every Thursday at 8pm for participants who cannot reach physical locations.
Those starting out should pick one fixed time each day, such as after the evening meal, and begin with a single 10-minute session. Checking class availability through venue websites or the app calendar helps avoid full bookings during peak summer months.
